假使我有一顆耀眼的頭顱
可令車陣中之眾人
轉身凝視不動；
假使我可以伸展我的軀體
穿過閃亮的水
和魚群與水蛇並肩而行；
假使我能因為在太陽之前飛
而令我的羽毛熔毀；
你想我還會待在這個房間
為你朗誦詩篇，
並且與你嘴巴最細微的動作一起
做著無恥的夢？

THESE HEROICS

If I had a shining head
and people turned to stare at me
in the street cars;
and I could stretch my body
through the bright water
and keep abreast of fish and water snakes;
